SERENE PRIMARY BEDROOM
This client reached out hoping to elevate their Primary Bedroom. They desired a calm, neutral retreat in preparation for sleepless nights with a new baby on the way. Thus, we developed a relaxing color palette focusing on hues of green while adding texture for layered intimacy.
The evolution: We started by trading contractor grade carpet for gorgeous hardwoods. From there, we built a custom closet system with new bi-fold doors, painted every square inch, had new baseboards installed and finished with new furniture, fan and textiles.
Favorite element: I love the light, airy quality to this room but I wanted to ensure we created a sense of depth and interest. So, we painted the bedroom and bathroom doors a deep black and added antiqued hardware to patina over time. This small paint job added an incredible amount of character.
Fun fact: Despite being accurately measured, it took three contractors to get the dresser into the room! We even considered hoisting it through a window. It's all about the math, angles and determination.
