This client reached out requesting help with spatial planning and a desire to add elements to compliment their plush, sectional sofa. They also wanted help marrying their two respective styles (her: romantic, pattern / him: streamlined, neutral). The color palette was very gray and tonal; so, we broke it up with clean white and added subdued greens and reds for interest.
The evolution: Working with the oversized sectional and expansive space, we removed a dwarfed sofa and end tables and added an oversized chair and side table. We commissioned two gorgeous pieces to seamlessly fit the space from a scale perspective: a 12 ft. sofa table and a sleek console. The pieces were made of wood and really added so much depth to the room. Further, the sofa table housed all their little one’s toys. To break the white, we commissioned custom wainscoting and added a soft red and brown area rug and some navy blue pattered ottomans.
Favorite element: If a sofa table could kill!
Fun fact: This client knows how to source the BEST faux plants I have ever seen! Literally, ever. BUT, I convinced them to have one real- so, yes, the Ficus is real!
